Marten and Carnaby Ltd, Chartered Surveyors was established in 1899 and continues to practice today, operating within the South London and North Surrey areas.

The company currently has over 60 years experience of local residential property surveying, valuation and management expertise between the partners/directors, who have built up a wealth of knowledge allowing them to offer a professional, yet personal, service to its customers. We are proud to provide bespoke, tailored reports that are not an amalgamation of standard text/paragraphs, like many firms that have targets to meet produce, with emphasis on quality and customer service over speed.

Working with private purchasers, Marten and Carnaby Ltd is able to provide the full suite of RICS Home Surveys and Valuation services for all purposes, including probate, equity loans, shared ownership/housing associations, tax, insurance and lease extensions. Marten and Carnaby Ltd are proud to be members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and are regulated by RICS Guidelines and protocol. Our surveyors are RICS Registered Valuers under the RICS Accredited Valuer Registration Scheme.

Marten & Carnaby Ltd are partnered with block management specialist ‘B-hive’ to provide specialist leasehold and freehold estate management services to Residents’ Management Companies (RMC’s) and freeholders covering South London and North Surrey areas. We believe the future of Block Management lies in partnerships, with B-hive as the trusted partner behind the scenes taking care of all things compliance, and Marten & Carnaby Ltd, based on the doorstep, to actively manage the day-to-day activity. We can provide a full management package or a consultation service, where you can be as involved as much or as little as you want, and we understand the need for total transparency in how your funds are managed. Our bespoke management package offers you a single point of contact and we provide a client portal so all things property related can be accessed whenever is convenient.

We approached Marten & Carnaby Ltd with a request for a Building Survey on a property we intended to purchase in the local area. The engagement process was clear and succinct, they provided us with a clear understanding of what types of services they could offer us and the limitations of each type of survey. Once we had described the property and what we needed to know they assisted us in deciding what type of survey would be appropriate and which we should commission, guiding us through the detail of the process. Once agreed, the survey was undertaken within a week and the information was provided to us a couple of weeks later. The report we received was thorough and detailed and the recommendations understood.
